We've traveled much of SE Asia, but Vietnam, sometimes referred to as "The land of a thousand shades of green," is our favorite. It's is a dynamic place of bustling cities, tranquil countryside landscapes, a rich cultural heritage, and of course...the amazing cuisine, everybody's favorite. It hosts world-class beaches and fascinating historical sites. People are friendly, fascinating and outgoing. It's affordable, charming and adventurous. It's hard to be an observer in some places and easier to just be a participant. It's easy to make friends there and people are interested in meeting you.
Vietnam is a country of proud people, innovators and hard workers. Students study hard, business owners work hard, entrepreneurs are driven. Despite what you might expect, the free market is alive and well in Vietnam; commerce is booming. But the Vietnamese also spend lots of time with family at gatherings and around the home. They also build frequent visits with friends in to their daily lives. They love to eat with snacks in between and take short mid-day naps after lunch. The motorbike is king and is the go-to method of transportation for everything from people to pigs, mattresses to pizzas.
Vietnam is a paradise for photographers, writers and thinkers who are inspired by the richness of life there. Many travelers have been fulfilled by the inspiring times they've had while traversing its lands. Of all those locations that are visit-worthy, it's hard to pick just a few when traveling for such a short time. Our locations however are specifically chosen due to their overall contribution to the understanding of the Vietnamese culture and to provide a healthy sampling of its cities, small towns, rivers and beaches.
For anyone who enjoys experiencing new and odd things, Vietnam is for you. It's a convergence of stimuli that is distinct and rewarding for the observer of people and things. The Vietnamese love to laugh and love it even more when you laugh with them. Vietnam awaits!, book a trip today!
